Superstarting the New Year with Bookstravaganza & Friends

Had a great start to the year as I attended Bookstravaganza & the Superstars Writing Seminar.

Bookstravaganza & Requiem

I joined Bookstravaganza for the first time this year and it was a ton of fun! I was able to talk to other well known authors such as Jim Butcher, Jonathan Maberry, Kevin J. Anderson, and so many more as we come together to sign books. There’s always that wonderful feeling of learning that these big names are just people, and pretty cool ones at that.

At the Bookstravaganza event, myself and two of my writing group had the great fortune to be published in the Requiem: Tales of the Undead writing anthology which sold out during the event!

On an incredibly exciting note, this will include the release of Requiem: Tales of the Undead by Wordfire Press. This includes my short story “The Devil’s Music”. If you liked the Sidewise award winner “A Brother’s Oath”, you’ll love my latest alt-history story following famous blues legend Robert Johnson.

Superstars Writing Seminar

I also had the great fortune to join in on the Superstars writing seminar. I’ve been going to this event for the past 4 years and I can directly attribute all my business of writing know-how to the classes & people I’ve met at this seminar. It really has been such a wonderful time learning from everyone. Special thanks to Wulf Moon who was one of the first people to welcome me into that community.

Thanks so much to the folks I’ve met on this journey. It’s a wild ride and I can’t wait to see where these turns take me.
