Sidewise 2024 Award Winner for Alt-History Short – “A Brother’s Oath”

I did the thing! “A Brother’s Oath” has offically made me an award winning author (Huzzah!). I’m so grateful to have my name up there with such amazing authors. It’s a true delight. As most of you know, I’ve been on a trip in the Aegean sea during this whole nailbiting affair and it’s been sureal to step into the world I once wrote about. I can’t get over the depth of history I find myself wading through, nor the crazy timing.

To say the least, I’m incredibly thankful for the Althistory judges and fellow nominees for creating the community that builds content and celebrates it! I’m happy to be welcome into this community and can’t wait to go to my first Worldcon to geek out with everyone.

All that to say, I’ve updated the cover of my short story ebook to match the reality of today. I hope you all get a chance to read it either here or within the A Bit of Luck anthology here. I highly recommend this anthology. My top two stories so far are “The Doom of Egypt” by Julia V. Ashley and “Kutuzov at Gettysburg” by B. Daniel Blatt. You can’t go wrong with a good book.
