A Bit of Luck Alternate History Honoring Eric Flint

As I’ve no doubt geeked out over countless times by now, I had the good fortune of having a story selected for the A Bit of Luck Anthology honoring Eric Flint. If you haven’t had a chance to grab your copy, please do so! All proceeds go towards helping future writers.

While I was not able to meet Eric, I was able to talk to some of the other authors whose lives he touched. The concensus? He was an outwardly crusty but inwardly teddy bear of a man. To those authors, he was a writer, a teacher, and a friend. It is humbling to meet the people his life touched. I’ve a feeling I’d have liked the cut of his jib.

In a way, I think he given me a bit of luck. He helped create the Superstars organization that allowed me to participate in this anthology. None of us go it alone. We all need help to succeed and so thank you Eric for the legacy you’ve left behind. Bowler hats off to you, sir.
