Today Russian invaded Ukraine. There are missiles fired into homes and scared families being separated. Watching the videos online of destroyed tanks and dead men, I’m horrified. This war doesn’t need to be happening. It’s unjustified and sickens the soul.
Five years before the end of WWII, the film The Great Dictator was released. Its words are as relevant now as they were then. They don’t have to just be words. Those protesters in Russian embody these morals, those Ukrainians who would defend their homeland live them, and defectors of the Russian military should be given the highest praise. There is hope so long as there are those brave enough to stand to power. God Bless and God Speed.
