Just Write Music: Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow

I’ve a special song for today’s Just Write music. This is a remix done by The Kiffness who has all sorts of delightful remixes. His latest is Oh, the Red Vibrunum in the Meadow or, in Ukrainian, Oi u luzi chervona kalyna. It’s currently banned by Russia in Crimea as a song of resistance.

The singer here is Andriy Khlyvnyuk, the Lead singer of Boombox and a Ukrainian soldier on the front lines. If you’re a Pink Floyd fan, you may recognize him from their Hey, Hey, Rise Up! song. As for this Remix, all royalties go to humanitarian aid towards the Ukrainian Armed Forces. With the Counteroffensive coming up, toss them some love. Slava Ukraine.

As for me, I stand by what I posted when this all started. Praise for the Ukrainians who defend their homeland, praise for NATO for supplying Ukraine with the ability to do so, and praise for those Russians that protest and defect away from this unjust war.

Slava Ukraini!

As a spot of fun check out the speakers on these hacked Russian camera’s baffling their owners. The music kicks in around 0:55.
